La Guinguette is a joyful open air restaurant in the heart of the old town of Antibes. It feels like entering a secret garden furnished with colourful tables and chairs.
The ambience is not La Guinguette's only asset though, and the meals are refined, with excellent flavours of the Mediterranean.
As mains, we ordered the Filet de Loup Riz Pilaf et rougail au citron (sea bass with Pilaf rice and a lemony sauce) and the Suprême de volaille fermière (chicken with pan sauce and potatoes). Both were very tasty. Our plates were spotless once we'd finished - that says it all!
This was a very good start, so we were emboldened to give the desserts a try. And we weren't disappointed either, with a traditional Crême Brûlée and a Baba "avec beaucoup de rhum" (rum soaked sponge cake).
We will definitely come back to taste the rest of the menu - and we encourage you to do the same!
La Guinguette is just a 3mn walk from our Picasso apartments.
