Dubbed ‘the biggest pleasure harbour in Europe,’ Port Vauban boasts 1642 berth places, also making it one of the largest marinas in the Mediterranean Sea.
However, the harbour also has a rich cultural heritage and history, preceding the Roman Empire- and owes its name to the Marquis de Vauban who ordered the fortification of the port in the 17th century. Later, in the 20th century, Port Vauban also housed seaplanes, thereby commercially connecting Antibes to North African cities such as Tunis and Algiers.
Today, the port is kept vibrant and alive by the International Yacht Club d’Antibes (IYCA) and its ‘Billionaires’ Quay’, where you can admire some of the world’s largest yachts, many of which belong to well-known tycoons. In addition, activities such as yoga and sports classes continually attract visitors in the summertime.

Surnommé le plus grand port de plaisance d'Europe, le port Vauban comprend 1642 emplacements pour bateaux, ce qui en fait également un des plus grands ports de la Méditerranée.
Son histoire est très ancienne puisque ses débuts sont antérieurs à l'Empire romain. Son nom lui vient du marquis de Vauban qui le fit fortifier au XVIIème siècle. Plus récemment, au XXème siècle, il accueillit des hydravions, ce qui permit d'établir des liaisons commerciales avec des villes d'Afrique du Nord telles que Tunis ou Alger.
Aujourd'hui le port est géré par l'International Yacht Club d’Antibes (IYCA. Le "Quai des milliardaires" abrite les plus grands yachts du monde, dont la plupart appartiennent à des magnats ou célébrités. Enfin, des activités comme le yoga ou d'autres sports sont proposées aux visiteurs pendant l'été.
