For those who are lucky enough to stay more than a week in Antibes, it’s a good idea to spend one day in Monaco. The little Principality is only 40km from Antibes and it takes less than one hour by train to reach the famous city-state.
Once there, have a walk up to the Prince’s Palace and you will enjoy astounding views over the sea. Then you can visit the State Apartments and their sumptuous interiors (they are open daily from March 31st to October 14th 2018). And do not miss the remarkable Oceanographic Museum, which is a masterpiece of monumental architecture (it is open for visits all year round).
To visit Monaco, just take the TER train towards Ventimiglia-Stazione at Antibes railway station. There are many round trips scheduled every day. You don’t even need a car!
